Course Description & Expectations
Course Description & Verification Form
During the first week of class, we discuss the detailed course description and the location of the day-to-day activities in AP Language. You may access these resources under the AP LANGUAGE HOME tab at the top of this page in the HANDOUTS & SYLLABUS dropdown options.
If students lose the copy of the course description distributed in class, they are asked to DOWNLOAD the file below, enable editing as needed to preserve the format of the document, READ the course description, & PRINT the final page of the document.
After printing, fill in the form's shaded areas. Students should SIGN and
have their parent/legal guardian SIGN the printed form.
Class Rules & Expectations
In AP Language, as in all of my classes, students are expected to know and to be familiar with the expectations for behavior established by our school's leaders, but for my class I have one rule that is paramount.
Students should be respectful, first and foremost, to each other. Ideally, they should also be respectful of our shared instructional time and the ideas presented in the course. My hope as a teacher is to foster and facilitate respectful and meaningful discourse where differences are respected, not merely tolerated. My hope as a teacher is that we can all grow together.
